Rich Peppiatt a Tabloid reporter bit the hand that fed him-that of Richard Desmond the proprietor of the Daily Star (and much more). Peppiatt resigned as a reporter with the tabloid in a fury over their ‘anti-Islamic bias’ and the tendency to get him to simply make up stories. His resignation letter is to the point.

Stephen Cole, one of the most widely-recognised faces on international television news. The Hereford-born presenter, who currently anchors the English version of the Arab news network Al Jazeera, has over 26 years of experience in both print and broadcast.
In this talk he gives a unique insight into work at Al Jazeera and into the news channel's role in the current Arab uprisings.

Jon Snow is a journalist and presenter best known for presenting Channel 4 News. He has won several RTS Awards -- two for reports from El Salvador, one for his reporting of the Kegworth air disaster, and two as "Presenter of the Year". He is a Visiting Professor at Coventry University and regularly comes to see and give advice to our students here.
In his most recent Coventry Conversation Jon Snow talks about his experience covering the Japanese Tsunami and the twitter generation of journalism.
