Jana Bennett was appointed Director of BBC Vision in November 2006. Jana is in charge of one of the world’s leading multimedia content groups, commissioning, producing and broadcasting across BBC Television and the web. She heads BBC One through to BBC Four, BBC HD, CBBC and CBeebies. The Vision group also includes BBC Films – Britains second largest funder of UK film. In addition, Jana has overall responsibility for BBC Archive Content and editorial management of UKTV and BBC America.

Ewa Jasiewicz is a writer, journalist and activist who takes a radical approach to her work.
She was in Baghdad during the US/British occupation of Iraq (including a group protest inside the press conference of the Supreme Commander of the US Occupation Forces General Sanchez where she got physically ejected) and was reporting from inside Gaza during the 2008 siege by Israel. She is currently involved in the Free Gaza floatilla taking sail this spring and is featured in the recent film ‘To Shoot an Elephant’ by Alberto Arce and Mohammad Rujailah. Ewa is also co-editor of Le Monde Diplomatique Polish Edition.
In this talk Ewa discusses a different point of view from the embedded and self-censored reporting that Sky and the BBC are so fond off.

After many years as a journalist, Peter Sissons' first stint as a newsreader came in 1976 when he began anchoring ITN’s News at One bulletins. In 1987 he left for the BBC and in 1989 he took over as presenter of Question Time. He continued until December 1993. He has worked for ITN, Channel 4 News and BBC News.
Here he discusses his career.

Dhiren Katwa is with the Environment Agency as External Relations Advisor. He has been a trustee of Birmingham Rathbone (a charity for people with mild to moderate learning difficulties) since 2007. In addition, he sits on the ITV Central Diversity Panel and on the Diversity Board of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a member of the Equality Council of the National Union of Journalists.
Here he discusses the current issues in making the media a more diverse and equal industry.
